What does the upskill cover?

The upskill will help you familiarise yourself with the new Youth MHFA course content and prepare you to deliver the course effectively. It includes the following modules:

• Introduction to the upskill: Learn how to navigate through the upskill and receive a brief overview of the different modules and what to expect
• Youth MHFA course overview: Information on the redevelopment process, the structure of the new Youth MHFA course, the role of a Youth MHFAider, and the materials learners will receive.
• Course content: A breakdown of each session, including new activities and films, which you can follow along with your session plan
• Journeys and processes: Administrative processes for registering and delivering your courses, plus information on England’s first and only membership body for Mental Health First Aiders and what this means for your learners
• Getting yourself ready: A summary of what you’ve learnt, and key next steps before listing and delivering the new Youth MHFA course
