What are the minimum and maximum number of learners that can attend MHFA England® courses?

The maximum number of learners for each course is as follows:

• MHFA® Two Day courses = 16 learners
• MHFA® One Day courses = 16 learners
• Mental Health Aware Half Day courses = 25 learners
• MHFA® Refresher courses = 25 learners
• Mental Health Skills for Managers = 16 learners

If you want to deliver to more than the maximum number of learners, you will need to request permission from our QA Team. Please email [e-mail] with the following information:

• Which course you want to deliver
• How many learners you want to deliver to
• Why you want to deliver over the maximum number of learners

The recommended minimum number of learners for each course is as follows:

• MHFA Two Day courses = 8 learners
• MHFA One Day courses = 8 learners
• Mental Health Aware Half Day courses = no minimum
• MHFA Refresher courses = no minimum
• Mental Health Skills for Managers = 8 learners

Instructors that are in-training need to deliver to a minimum of 8 learners and a maximum of 16 learners.

Instructor Members that have been approved and signed off can deliver to less than the recommended minimum number of learners, however this must be to a minimum of at least 4 learners. If you need to deliver the course to less than eight people, we ask that you make it clear to your learners and/or clients that the course was designed for more learners and that there may be an impact on their learner experience. And you only deliver the course if you feel comfortable to do so.
