Yes. We know there are huge differences in people’s lived experiences of structural racism and privilege, as well as personal and professional levels of understanding, skills, and confidence in addressing issues of race and racism.
We recognise this training is a baseline and some Instructor Members will already have a greater level of understanding than this foundation learning provides. We think it is important for everybody within the Instructor Member Community to complete the modules so there is a shared understanding of what everybody is expected to know and understand.
Associates and National Trainers have until 22 April 2021 to complete the training. A weekly report will be run.
We are expecting all Instructor Members to complete the modules within three months.
