How do I create a safe learning environment for learners?

We recommend that you encourage learners to consider identifying a support person prior to attending the course if they need it.  

We are mindful that it can be harder for you to manage the safety and wellbeing of learners in an online environment. We have tried to mitigate this as much as possible. 

Key safety features of the online course that support learner safety are: 

• A group learning agreement  
• Clear opt-out guidance for learners who do not feel comfortable taking part in a particular activity 
• Guidance for how the learner can ask the instructor for help 
• Guidance for Instructors when a learner asks for help or chooses to leave a live session
